It contains an Axis-specific machine gun and, most importantly, some health and ammo crates. If the Axis are unable to prevent the Allies from loading the parts onto the truck, they will lose the Allies need not escape with the parts, like in Gold Rush.Īlso of note is a small house located down the road from the main entrance. They must then be sent to the Allied Escape Truck, which can be seen just outside the main entrance. Attached to the radars are small boxes that can be picked up by Allied players. The two Allied objectives are the twin radars which give the map its name. This is a one-way trip for Axis players to go through the Side Entrance area, but it prevents Allied players from reaching it until they've dynamited the Side Entrance. Near the Command Post is a ladder up to a second floor, where a team door is located. It is guarded by a machine gun nest facing the entrance (often Axis-manned) and a Command Post. The side entrance drops players in on the far side of the Axis encampment, away from the main spawns. The small box on the left side of the radar is the Allied target. The streetside entrance of the Forward Bunker is unguarded. The forward bunker is defended by a machine gun nest that guards the left exit. Expect a lot of close-quarters weapons - flamethrowers, grenades, maybe even knives - to be used in this area. The Forward Bunker is a large, almost empty room with a capturable spawn in the middle. From here, Allied players can either continue on to assault the Forward Bunker from one of its two entrances, or continue past the entrance on the left to the Side Entrance, which can be dynamited open. Taking the direct path, through the wooden gates, puts players in a grassy field with lots of undergrowth to hide behind. The house is enclosed by a wall, with two entrances - a direct way that leads near the Axis Forward Bunker, and a long tunnel which leads near the edge of the map. The Allies start in a small house with windows that can be punched out by gunfire or a knife. Würzburg Radar is a dark and stormy map set in Europe. Secure the West and East Radar Parts and put them into the Escape Truck. The new Würzburg radar electronically detects and pinpoints Allied aircraft even on the darkest of nights! Can the Allies snatch these silent sky sentries electromechanical innards, and return them to their waiting egghead science maidens? Can the Axis beat back the frenzied Allied technology thieves? Only time.will tell! Stunned by the Luftwaffe's humiliating failures to keep the Reich's skies free of Allied bombers, Axis scientists are developing new "radar" devices which could spell death to the Allied forces. The Axis must guard their two prototype radars and prevent the Allies from escaping with any stolen parts. The Allies are attempting to steal components of the new Axis Würzburg 62A Radar for technical analysis.
